COLORADO/NEW HAMPSHIRE -- Grand Junction Regional Airport in Colorado is joining the likes of JFK and Charlotte Douglas International Airport by hosting its first-ever Runway 5K run/walk. The event is set for June 16, and is a fundraiser for the Thunder Mountain Composite Squadron of Civil Air Patrol, an organization that educates youth about aviation. A similar event is planned May 5 in New Hampshire at the Pease International Tradeport, where the Seacoast and Manchester squadrons are hosting a Touch-A-Plane event as a fund-raiser for CAP as well as Run for the Fallen N.H.
