    Mich. Wing's Tupper, a power pilot, chases a glider rating

    MICHIGAN -- Civil Air Patrol Maj. Steve Tupper, in this “Exploring Aviation” quest for the AOPA Pilot blog “Let’s Go Flying,” pursues a glider rating. Tupper, a member of the Michigan Wing’s Oakland Composite Squadron and the wing’s legal officer, is a private pilot, host of the Airspeed podcast (www.airspeedonline.com), and holds airplane single-engine and multi-engine land, airplane single-engine sea, and instrument airplane ratings and is currently on a mission to expand his aviation experience by pursuing new and different opportunities, which he chronicles for AOPA Pilot’s “Let’s Go Flying.” Click here to read about and see video from Tupper’s latest aviation adventure.
